For home learning this week I want you to think about all the things you've learned in Maths this term. Fractions, decimals and percentages have been our main focus so keep this in mind. Write a comment on this post saying all the things you've learned and one example of how you could use this Maths in a real life context.
I have learnt how to make a fraction into a mixed number and into a decimal I can also use fractions for my birthday mince pie and 8 friends over so we each get 1/8 of the yummy mince and cheese pie. By Fletcher
ReplyDeleteI have learnt how to make a fraction wall this will help me in the future when I need to tell somebody what fraction is the same as another fraction e.g 1/2 is the same as 2/4

This term I have learnt how to find a fraction of a fraction. This will help me in life if I invite 4 friend over but 4 more show up. So If I had cut the cake up in to quarters my first friends would have had 3/4 of the cake but the other friend need 3/4 so I could find 3/4of 3/4 which is 9/16.

ReplyDeleteI have learnt this term in maths how to use the fraction wall this helps me to know some fractions re the same like :
ReplyDeleteOne quarter is the same as two eights
That is what the fraction wall has helped me with in real life.
Another thing that is helped me is my teacher helping me with fractions because know how to work fraction promblems out you can use time tables or your division if you know them for example one quarter of 24 is 6 because you can just halve the halve or you can go 6 x 4 = 24.
