Owls Reading Group

Your task this week is to build your vocabulary knowledge. Choose an article, read it carefully and choose two words you are unsure the meaning of. Write a comment that includes the word in the sentence from the book and then find out what it means.
For example Article Name ' The Problem with Pluto'. 
Sentence 'These objects are remnants of the huge dust cloud...'
Remnants means.....

    Ushers means 1 a person who shows up to their seats in a public hall or church. 2 lead in or out ; escort someone as an usher. By Mia

    The horses must learn not to flinch when they gallop close together.
    Flinch means shrink back because you are afraid.
    There is jousting on horseback.
    Joust means fight on horseback with lances.

  3. The ground them had to be compacted. Compacted means to join orders firmly together. Linking arms, the Sherpas did a vigorous dance up and down the airstrip. Vigorous means strength, energy, and liveliness. By Teeshan.
