Home Learning Week 4

This week you need to think about the rights and responsibilities you have at home and at school. 
Choose one responsibility you have and give reasons why you think you think this is a good responsibility. Think carefully about this because you need to give reasons.
For example ' I am responsible for keeping my room tidy. This is good because it teaches me to look after my own things. I am Ten now so I need to get better at doing things for myself'.
Then you also need to read someone else's comment and Reply to them, with your opinion on what they have said. Make sure you give a reason.
For example 'I agree with you Jo. I think that being a Librarian is a good way to develop leadership skills'.

Owls Reading Group

Your task this week is to build your vocabulary knowledge. Choose an article, read it carefully and choose two words you are unsure the meaning of. Write a comment that includes the word in the sentence from the book and then find out what it means.
For example Article Name ' The Problem with Pluto'. 
Sentence 'These objects are remnants of the huge dust cloud...'
Remnants means.....

Choose an article that you have read with the Teacher. Write the name of the article and summarise what it is about. Include key facts.

Your task for this week is to:

Write 'how' you like to learn with an example. It might be ' I like to learn by doing things. That's why I like to play sports and use equipment in Maths'.
It might take you a while to think about it but that's ok...just have a go! From Miss Dutton.

Kia Ora and welcome to the Ra 22 class blog! 

Day one of school for 2014 has arrived and we are ready for a great year of learning.
